A Shamell-ous plug:

The Reaganomics Spotlight
Paul Thomas

No kids, his picture hasn't been PhotoShopped...he's really that pasty. Kinda like Tom Petty meets Michael Jackson. Y'know, but still alive 'n all...

Check out Paul Thomas' new site, and stayed tuned as to when "Paul unplugged" will be playing out. We might even pop in from time to time to sit in...maybe we could all show up in black, and even bring a PA, and...oh wait, then it would be just like any other show...nevermind...

Insanity ensues...

So, as if last weekend wasn't exhausting enough...we, your humble 80's punishment-gluttons have decided to subject ourselves and the general public to a Reaganomics three-fer this weekend. Don't get me wrong, we're glad to be there...but at our age we're pretty much glad to be anywhere!

But first, a Reaganomics public service announcement:

Thursday night, September 24th, 8pm at the Lazy Chameleon in Powell, your boys and the musical (and not so musical) community are coming together to honor and help out a brother who's helped US out so often on & off the stage, crewman-extraordinaire Pat Dowdy. All proceeds from the night are going to help him deal with medical & living expenses since his motorcycle accident.

Come on down and party to the musical stylings of Dirty Side Down and other local artists. We might even jump up on stage for a song or two, but the man of the hour will be Pat...a man with a big heart, talented abilities and questionable hygiene. (kidding! KIDDING!!!)

But seriously folks, come to the Lazy on the 24th and show your support for a guy who's supported all the bands for so long.

Okay, here goes: TONIGHT we have our monthly "brew-haha" at Benny's Pizza. My mouth is already watering, just thinking of their Italian subs. They've got this bread, soft yet with a kind of a crunchy crust, and just the right balance of dressing, meat and cheese...and then there are the peppers...mmmm...I remember the first time I bit into one of these....

Oh, sorry...distracted...

Uh...SATURDAY we make our debut at the new Hineygate on Lane Avenue just before the big game!! This will be the party to end all parties folks!! We hit the stage at 3:30 to warm up you folks for a great day, which would be even better with an Italian sub from Benny's, all toasted & warm on a hot plate, onions falling from the sides and cute little decorative toothpicks holding it all together...

GAH!! Sorry again...

Okay, SATURDAY, AFTER HINEYGATE, we high-tail it over to the east side and jam at Newark's hottest new club, Fahrenheit on Church Street. We've been waiting a LONG time to get back in there, and can't wait to finish off the day with the ReagaManiacs, Licking County Chapter. I'm kind of "licking" my chops right now, dreaming of those subs...<sigh>...

...and there's the "CRUNCH" sound as your teeth first break into it, like walking on the fall leaves on a cool October morning...the juice from the peperoncinis explode as they meet your mouth, your tastebuds welcoming it like a sour mead, yet the salt from the meat melds with it to create total ecstacy...
